Cottage cheese with blueberry purée and almonds

Cottage cheese with blueberry purée and almonds. So yummy I can't believe I haven't been eating this for decades! And it's so simple.

Put 1/4 cup blueberries in a small saucepan. Add enough water to just cover the bottom of the pan (like 1 or 2 tablespoons). Cook over medium-low heat, mashing the blueberries as they become tender, for about 5 minutes until it's a sauce-like consistency. Allow to cool slightly. Pour the blueberry purée over 1/2 cup cottage cheese. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon slivered almonds.
